The Banquet Room is on the ground floor of The Capital building, right next to the box office foyer. It is the Festival Hub and houses the Festival Bookshop.
This historic building is located next to Bendigo Art Gallery, which is alongside The Capital building. It seats 160 in the auditorium, which has a small raised stage.
The Annexe is a separate smaller room suitable for meetings.
Both rooms are accessible from View Street, via stairs, or via the ramp that leads up alongside the building; please note, there are several stairs to be negotiated inside the building to get access to the Annexe, so if you require wheelchair access to the Workshops held in that venue, please do let us know so we can arrange that in advance.
Directly across the road from The Capital in View Street, La Trobe Arts Institute houses an auditorium which seats 90 people, alongside two exhibition spaces.
Next door to The Capital building, the Engine Room is an intimate black-box theatre, formerly Bendigo’s Fire Station, It has raked seating for 90 people.
