Comic Renaissance

Australia’s long comic history is shaded by the popularity of comics in the US, Japan and Europe but now, with the popularity of comic narrative at an all-time high, artists and writers in Australia are experiencing a ‘renaissance’, finding work with the biggest US companies.

Publishing companies in Australia are picking up steam, and there is a groundswell of interest in ‘zines and self-published comics.
