Jazz Money is a poet and artist of Wiradjuri and Irish heritage whose creative practice is centred around poetics and expands into sculptural installation, digital media, performance, film and print.
Chunxiao Qu, born in China and now based in Melbourne, is the author of two volumes of poetry and creates art through text-based installations, drawing, and sculpture.
Both artists have been commissioned to make major public artworks with curator Amelia Wallin of La Trobe Art Institute.
This conversation will explore how the artists move between writing for the page and creating visual art across multiple modes, the complex significances of English language, and the appearance of joy, humour, and politics in their work.
