Amelia Wallin
Amelia Wallin is Curatorial Lead at La Trobe Art Institute. An interest in health, labour, and care drives her work as a curator and writer.
At La Trobe, Wallin commissions new artworks, curates exhibitions, produces a residency program and cares for the University’s collections, across regional and metropolitan contexts. She has presented group exhibitions Maternal inheritances, Circles of Dialogue, and I think future, I think past (forthcoming).
Amelia was formerly Director of West Space, where she spearheaded the organisation’s relocation, organised major exhibitions of artists Leyla Stevens, Steven Rhall, Fayen d’Evie and Patrina Munuŋgurr and The Mulka Project, and initiated innovative cross-organisational programming including disorganising (with Liquid Architecture and Bus Projects) and The Region (with RMIT, Para Site, Western Front and Enjoy Contemporary).
