Hana Assafiri

Hana Assafiri OAM is a compassionate and unspoken hero within the Victorian community. She is a tireless advocate for women and a spokesperson for Islamic feminism in Australia. Now the owner of two restaurants, she is also the founder of Speed Date a Muslim, a community event to combat Islamophobia. Her restaurant, Moroccan Soup Bar, was groundbreaking for employing marginalised, culturally diverse women and encouraging powerful conversations.
